Gloria Gemma Casino Night
Charity Descriptions
- Here in New England, Friday night is fish & chips night. When I was a kid, I remember standing in line at the local fish monger with my mother to get the huge orders of flaky fish wrapped in crispy, golden blanket laid on a mountain of French fries with a small container of coleslaw and another of tartar sauce nestled into opposing corners of the container.
- Saturday night’s WaterFire all part of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation’s “Flames of Hope” weekend, which began Saturday morning with the “Passport to Wellness” event.
Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation – GGBCRF was founded in 2004 in memory of Gloria Gemma, a beloved wife and mother of nine. The foundation was created in order to increase awareness, education and funding for critical breast cancer health programs. The GGBCRF staff are committed to supporting patients, survivors, friends and family. Visit www.gloriagemma.org to learn more!
The pink exhibitionism was all for a breast cancer charity fundraising event, the eighth annual Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life, staged by the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. Hosted at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, March 25, this year's Casino Night had record-breaking attendance, with over 1,000 guests supporting the Ellie Fund and Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to ARS for their tireless efforts and steadfast commitment to our mission.
Ellie Fund – The Ellie Fund was founded in 1995 by Jeff and Eliot Popkin to honor their mother Eleanor’s courageous battle against breast cancer and the giving spirit for which she was known throughout her life. The foundation fights breast cancer by easing its effects on women, men and families across Massachusetts. They provide a strong support system to help alleviate the effects of breast cancer and allow the patient to focus on what matters – healing. Visit www.elliefund.org to learn more!
